Postcards always spoil my holidays. Last summer, I went to Italy. I visited museums and sat in public gardens. A friendly waiter taught me a few words of Italian. Then he lent me a book. I read a few lines, but I did not understand a word. Every day I thought about postcards. My holiday pasted quickly,but I didn't send cards to my friends.On the last day I made a big decision. I got up early and bought thirty-seven cards. I spent the whole day in my room, I did not write a single card!

1. send sth. to sb. = send sb. sth.

   damage:破坏（程度不一定很重）
   destory:彻底摧毁

7. lend: v. 借给
   lend sth. to sb. = lend sb. sth.
   borrow: v. 借来 borrow from

   make a big/great decision.
   decide:v. 决定

9. whole: adj. 整个的
   all the day = all day
   the whole day

10. single: adj. 唯一的，单一的
    double: adj. 双个

12. think about = think of: 考虑，思考，想到

13. last:上一个
    the last: 最后一个

    I spend a lot of time in traffic jam.
