2-step RACH定义了MSGA和MSGB:
MSGA: preamble and payload transmissions of the random access procedure for 2-step RA type.
MSGB: response to MSGA in the 2-step random access procedure. MSGB may consist of response(s) for contention resolution, fallback indication(s), and backoff indication.
UE基于网络配置选择RA类型:
- 未配置CFRA资源时,UE依据RSRP门限来选择2-step或4-step;
- 如果配置了用于4-step的CFRA资源,UE选择4-step RA;
- 如果配置了用于2-step的CFRA资源,UE选择2-step RA;
对于CFRA 2-step RA,UE发送MSGA(包含RA preamble和PUSCH payload),在收到MSGB时RA过程结束;
对于CBRA 2-step RA,UE发送MSGA,在收到MSGB且contention resolution成功时RA结束;如果收到MSGB包含Fallback Indication,UE应发送MSG3;如果发送MSG3后contention resolution失败,UE应重复发送MSGA。
UE在2-step RA过程中,如果多次发送MSGA仍不成功,可以尝试4-step RA。
