在Azure VM上安装 Azure备份服务 ，操作系统是WindowsServer2008R2, 双击安装包提示Unable to execute the embedded application to complete the installation.

之前在我们的物理服务器上，也是同样的操作系统，安装没有问题。

google之，发现是MS已知的一个问题：https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2934202/en-us

原因：This problem is known to occur with a virtual machine (VM) from a Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter SP1 image that was created from the image gallery. However, this same VM works as expected on Windows Server 2012.

可见确实是从Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter SP1 镜像创建的VM，都有这个问题，

解决方案是安装

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64).

Azure 虚拟机 Windows Server 2008 R2安装AzureBackupServiceAgent失败的解决方案
