I am Liming, a junior/freshman/sophomore student of our Law school. Today, I am here to write this notice on how to protect our beautiful homeland and how to promote the implement of trash sorting among us, college students.

我叫李明，是我们法学院大三/大一/大二的学生。今天，我在这里就如何保护我们美丽的家园，如何在我们大学生中推广垃圾分类的实施，写一份通知。

As we all know, we are facing the challenge of environmental/public health problems. (the over-use of fossil fuel and the over-exploitation of natural resources) (the possible breakout of another epidemic) (asking the public to keep the proper social distance) (demanding the public wearing the facial mask). We, common people, throw away paper, glass, plastic bottles or bags carelessly. / Some of us put their personal interests at the first place and ignore the public welfare.

众所周知，我们正面临着环境/公共卫生问题的挑战。(化石燃料的过度使用和自然资源的过度开发)(另一种流行病的可能爆发)(要求公众保持适当的社会距离)(要求公众戴口罩)我们，普通人，随手扔掉纸、玻璃、塑料瓶或塑料袋。我们有些人把个人利益放在第一位，忽视了公共福利。

Fortunately, these problems have captured wide media attention and triggered heated discussion on the social media. Meanwhile, the practice of trash sorting and other incentives has been required in some big cities. **幸运的是，这些问题得到了媒体的广泛关注，在社交媒体上引发了热烈的讨论。与此同时，一些大城市要求实行垃圾分类和其他奖励措施。

This a promising start. 这是一个有希望的开始。

As the college students, it is supposed for us to follow this positive and necessary policy. More importantly, we should exert/exercise influence over people around us, family members or neighbors. Only with our shared effort, we h2ope to witness a better world.

作为大学生，我们应该遵循这一积极而必要的政策。更重要的是，我们应该对我们周围的人，家庭成员或邻居施加影响。只有我们共同努力，我们才能见证一个更美好的世界。

科技的发展：

Our era is full of opportunities and challenges. Some new technologies or devices are changing our way of life, of playing and of learning. Of all changes, the fairly far-reaching one may be the use of smartphones.

我们的时代充满了机遇和挑战。一些新技术或新设备正在改变我们的生活、娱乐和学习方式。在所有的变化中，影响深远的可能是智能手机的使用。

好处：

（1）It does make communication more convenient and

quicker. 它确实使沟通更方便和更快。

(2) We can enjoy the vivid, concrete and accurate
information as well as entertainment sources effortlessly

坏处：

(1) However the overuse of smart devices and the overload of information pose serious threat to all of us, especially teenagers. 然而，智能设备的过度使用和信息超载对我们所有人，特别是青少年构成了严重的威胁。

As the college students, it is supposed for us to follow this positive and necessary policy. More importantly, we should exert/exercise influence over people around us, family members or neighbors. Only with our shared effort, we hope to witness a better world.

The spirit of perseverance has long been the indispensable part of one’s full ==personality ==and has contributed to not only personal growth but achievement as well. To be sure, the persistence is the key element of the modern success recipe.

长期以来，坚持不懈的精神是一个人完整人格不可缺少的一部分，它不仅有助于个人成长，而且有助于成就。可以肯定的是，坚持不懈是现代成功秘诀的关键因素。

We should realize that many top-performers’ successes lie in the spirit of persistence. Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba, is a shining and fitting example here. It is the courage to face the difficulty and the quality of never quitting 我们应该认识到，许多杰出人士的成功在于坚持不懈的精神。马云，那是面对困难的勇气和永不放弃的品质 help him shape the remarkable success of Ali and generate the value for society.
