[training@localhost Desktop]$ chkconfig | grep hive

hive-metastore 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off
hive-server2 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off

[training@localhost Desktop]$ service hive-server2 status
Hive Server2 is running [ OK ]
[training@localhost Desktop]$ service hive-metastore status
Hive Metastore is running [ OK ]

[training@localhost Desktop]$ which hive
/usr/bin/hive
[training@localhost Desktop]$

[training@localhost Desktop]$ hive
