We all like the cheerful glow of holiday lights, so the process goes seamless from start to finish. We will show you how to make hanging, storing and setting LED Holiday Light easier.
How to add an outdoor outlet
Most houses have only two
external exits, one in the front and one in the back. This can be done most of
the year, but when you hang up a holiday light, it's really troublesome. This is
also very dangerous. An overloaded wire or socket can cause a fire, and the
lanes and sidewalks that are staggered with wires can cause tripping.
In just
a few hours, you can solve these problems permanently by adding one or two
sockets. Use this simple wall-to-wall technology for easy and safe
operation.
Easy external light control
We all like the cheerful light
from the holiday lights outside, but it can be painful to plug in the power and
unplug the power in cold weather. Use an outdoor remote control so you can
control it at home or in the car. You can buy these cheap devices in the family
center or online. All you have to do is plug the switch into any door socket and
use a small transmitter for control.
Cost factor
Although LED Christmas lights will cost more in
the early stages, in the long run, you will save money. You can pay $13.65 a
month, decorate the roof with old incandescent lights, or pay 22 cents for LED
lights (prices are estimated by Xcel Energy Colorado). Moreover, LEDs are more
expensive to produce because the components are usually assembled by hand, they
require conductive materials to dissipate heat and obtain natural white light,
which is usually coated with a yellow phosphor.
Weather factor
LED Christmas lights work fine at low temperatures. In
fact, as the outdoor temperature decreases, the efficiency of the LED will be
higher.
They are very durable
LED Christmas lights score high on durability.
In the test, the LED bulb did not burn out after more than 4,000 hours, while
the standard string bulb burned out at a rate of 1-2 per string before half of
the time.
Test holiday lights
There is a way to test (and repair) the entire holiday
string without having to test each bulb separately. With just a trigger, it can
identify and often resolve most of the problems in miniature and icicle clusters
(rather than headlights or LED clusters).
Test bulb
Test the lamp with a cheap tester, available at the holiday
light sales office and online. Normally, replacing the defective bulb (or
tightening the bulb) will secure the entire strand. The tester will indicate
which bulbs are broken and need to be replaced. (For the tester to work
properly, the lamp must be properly plugged into a power outlet - a narrow "hot"
blade is inserted into the narrow slot and a wide neutral blade is inserted into
the wide slot.)
Some testers work by passing each bulb through a hole. With
other testers, you only need to touch each bulb.
Repair holiday lights
It seems that most of us have experienced the
frustration of uncooperative holiday lights. There is an easy way to solve the
problem. First, slide the plastic cover on the plug back to check the fuse. Some
strings have multiple fuses, in which case they will be adjacent to each other.
Replace all blown fuses. New places can be bought in some places where holiday
lights are sold and in some electronics stores.
At your fingertips
If you have children or pets and are concerned about
the safety of holiday decorations, LEDs are a good choice because they are
hardly hot. That means they are always cool.
Suspension light from the gutter
If your house has a gutter, you can hang
the illuminator without leaving the ground. All you need is an 8 foot tall. 1 x
2, a sturdy magnet and some galvanized plumber's hanger belt.
Cut the hanger
strap to 7 inches long. Part, bend it into a hook and attach the hook to the
string every 5 feet or so.
Screw the magnet to 1×2 and then hang the hook on one binding line at a time. In a two-story house, this is a bit difficult. You must screw two or three 1x2 together to reach the gutter, and it is tricky to "hook" the hook with a magnet when the hook is over you. But this is still better than climbing a ladder.
Danger! Keep away from the power cord.
Better holiday light clip
Use inexpensive staples for cable routing to
make inexpensive and durable holiday light clips. Cut the staples in half and
fix them to the fascia or trim with the remaining nails. It securely holds the
wires, but it is still easy to slide the wires behind the clips. No matter how
cold the weather is, these clips will be kept year after year. If you are using
a metal panel, use stainless steel screws to avoid rust.
Hook tall trees
Putting down a holiday light on a tall outdoor tree and
taking it down can be tricky. The easiest way we found was to use a paint roller
extension with a hook at the end. You can use wire hangers or other thicker
wires. Simply insert it into the thread of the rod, bend the wire into a hook,
and then secure it with tape to prevent the hook from sliding around the
rod.
Holiday light hanger
When hanging the holiday lights, do not nail the
nails to the aluminum soffits and the decorative panels, but use pins to clamp
the wires to the bottom lip of the decorative panel. But be careful with the
ladder. Click here for more information on ladder safety.
Store light on the hose reel
To prevent holiday lights from tangling and
easy to string them in the yard, roll about 30 strings of lights onto a portable
hose reel with wheels and handles. Pull the light into the yard and roll it off
as needed.
In the bucket
Test the holiday lights before trying to string them on the
tree. When the season is over. Roll them into 5 gallon buckets to prevent
tangling next year.
In a bag
This must be the easiest way to store a holiday string. Simply
place each rope in a separate plastic bag and write the correct position of the
lamp on the bag. No need to wrap or coil. In the bag!
On the bobbin
This is a great way to recycle cardboard and prevent the
holiday string from becoming entangled during storage. Simply use a cardboard
strip and cut a slit at each end to make a “spool” to prevent the lamp from
slipping. Check out these 12 other ways to re-use cardboard boxes.
In the stands
It is difficult to store holiday string lights without
destroying them. This is a good idea: just screw the pin to the ends of the
wooden base that is cut into a large plastic bin. The lamp is then wrapped
around the eight pins to form a figure eight and placed in the trash can. You
will be surprised to find out how many strings you can wrap on the shelf without
tangling or damaging. Check out other great storage ideas.
