Introduction
With the incoming failure of my second attempt at the postgraduate entrance exam, I decide to study myself part of computer science that might be useful for all of my possible future situations –to receive an interview invitation from a school and accept it, to prepare for a beginner developer's interview, or to fail to be enrolled this year and make a third try. I will sum up the core concepts and principles of computer networking first, using the online courses lectured by Dr. Jim Kurose and other useful material provided by him. To cope with issues arisen by all watching no reviewing, such as the difficulty to acquire knowledge without Chinese, the ignorance of terminology translation and chaotic organization of knowledge in my mind, I believe it is wise to write key points down. These series of notes will only cover common topics such as the overview, layered architecture, performance quantitation, HTTP, TCP, UDP, IP, Socket, DNS and so on.
