The development of science has been improving significantly in the past 200 years in the human history. Human inventions like usage of the electricity, metal, communication, nuclear power, oil and medical science etc, have been improved human life style much better than the past 500 years indeed. However, two most potential human threats has been present in front of us. They are:

1. We may lose control of technology in human inventions， especially on nuclear power, nanotechnology, and genetic engineering. Once these type of technologies have been abused in the wrong way, the current human civilization would be facing a severely destruction.

2. In the past century, human development has led to the excessive waste of the earth's resources and environmental pollution, which has been a sound alarm. Global warning, carbon dioxide emissions, overpopulation, the cost of deadly viruses are higher than ever before.

Is this the only civilization of mankind, or is our present civilization only one of biological development civilizations among many previous civilizations?
