Check Docker Volumes files in MacOS

Solution:

https://github.com/docker/for-mac/issues/4822#issuecomment-1015731218

Having the same problem.
On M1 Mac, Apple Silicon version Docker: 4.4.2
Docker needs to give us a nice solutions on MacOS.

add this in .zshrc

dockervm () { docker run -it --privileged --pid=host debian nsenter -t 1 -m -u -n -i sh }

then

source ~/.zshrc && dockervm

then find volumes

ls /var/lib/docker/volumes

Why?

Coz Docker runs a Linux VM to manage its volumes and images on MacOS,

so you need a linux vm to talk to the docker vm on MacOS.

In this case, docker will pull a debian image to local, and run a container, in the container you can find volumes.
